Spring

Spring is still shimmering just beyond my reach here in North East Ohio. Snowfall of three inches last night has me hungering for home, now that April's there. Browning's poem captures wonderfully the homesickness that we English seem to universally feel at this time of year wherever we live and however much we have acclimated.

This is the beauty of good poetry. Poems can touch us in a way that no other written word does. Whether it is the description of an everyday event like a sunset or sunrise or the pang of lost love or some other experience that the poet expresses, we come away with insight that we did not have before.

Read and enjoy the variety of poetry here. Think of the experiences that have touched the poet that in turn touches us, the readers.
