Viscous fluids of life
Baptize the sanctuary of woman.
Clothed in the knowledge of the soul
She splits the sacred silence
With the song of her life.
Imparting the essence of feminine spirit
Ancient stories speak to waiting hearts
From an atmosphere infused
With invisible strands of female lore.
She nourishes herself
With unspoken and unwritten legacies.
A chorus of women’s voices rise,
Resilient as reeds in the wind
Savage as blood smeared earth.
Accepting the legacy of feminity
A wise woman keeps her council.
As she weeps through
A heavy veil of isolation
She endows the world
