Betrayed

A woman’s betrayal
Fullest engulfs you, mixed with the pleasure
Lost in a world of your own, unable of focus
Believing your beauty, seen in that moment
Confused and abandoned, questions unheeded
Belief is illusion, magic slips without warning
Time fades pain to unknown

Dream

I dream of the desert
Mojhave on the playa
Heat intense, throat dry
There is need, quench my thirst
Show colours of the painted sands
Saguaros at sunset
Flash floods to relieve

Stare

Vacant stark emptiness
Cigarette burns on her feet
Injuries internal decaying of self
Calls for her abuser, weeps alone in the night
Wishes are dreams, wish she came from my womb
She’ll be returned, there will be another
With cigarette burns on her feet

Night

Night terrors return, awake swallowing screams
Landmines explode, small bits , larger pieces
Doe eyed child vomits fear
Mother’s wailing continues, holy wars
A generation of maimed children
Proof only, God’s death

Quoting Kim: "I am a mother of five grandmother of one. Part time student, ex military medic."
