Colors of You

Red - The color of your curly hair,
       That glistens beautifully in the moonlit air.
Gold - The color of the morning sun,
       That's kissed you with your freckles; I love every one.
Blue - The color of your flashing eyes,
       That in their intensity, rival the sky's.
Green - The color of the grass that grows,
       That's so wonderf'lly blessed, to caress your toes.
Iv'ry - The hue of your beautiful fair skin,
       That feels so soft and tender; I yearn to touch again.
Vi'let - The color of many pretty flowers
       That cannot match your beauty, In their finest hours.

But purity is colorless, And describes you even more,
       Than all the prettiest rainbows, for it manifests your core.

today

today My Love, much i needed You;
my "today" Dear, was so Blessed by You:
today My Love, fast to You i ran;
today Dear One, touched your Tender Hand.
today My Love, by Your Beauty dazed;
today Dear One, on You long i gazed.
today My Love, Your Sweet Voice i heard;
today Dear One, i savored each word.
today My Love, again 'twas amazed;
today Dear One, loud Your Virtues praised.
today My Love, my heart's bells You rang;
today Dear One, Your Beauty i sang.
today My Love, was Fulfilled by You;
today Dear One, i thanked God for You.

today Love -- and A LWAYS-- I LOVE YOU.

Any day

Any day I cannot see
   The sunlight glinting off your gorgeous hair,
Any day I cannot hear
   Your appealing laughter that fills the air,
Any day I cannot smell
   The sweet aroma of you passing by,
Any day I cannot touch,
   Your tender and beautiful hands with mine,
Any day I cannot taste
   The smallest morsel prepared by you,
Any day of mine
   That has no hint of you,
Is Wasted.

All You

Every day (and many times)
   For you I say a prayer.
Every time that you walk by
   I cannot help but stare.
Every where I think you'll go
   I first go smooth the way.
Every place I think you'll be
   I try so hard to stay.
Every one that is your friend
   Will my friend also be.
Every thing to do with you
   Interests -- NAY! -- Enthralls me!

What If?

O my tearful realization
   On that fateful day so long ago,
That you would never be my wife,
   And my heart just cannot let it go.

So I've often wondered, "What If?"
    If I had never been forbidden
To manifest my love for you;
   I didn't have to keep it hidden.

But that day is long since over,
   And my only chance for you is gone.
Since that day my heart's been leaden,
   Never again can hold a glad song.

Someday someone I'd hoped to find
   Somehow my love for you to replace.
But so much time has passed since then,
   And ever larger grows that void space.

If somehow you would pray for me
   That God would help and set my soul free?
I do not know how that could be,
   For that old "What If?" is all I see.

Your Happiness

O how I yearn
  To know my God's mind.
To give Him respect
   And his will to find.
O how I long
   To walk by your side.
To earn your respect
   With you love, abide.

But now I know
  The two cannot be.
For I love you much,
   Yet you don't like me.
How could His will
   Include my desire?
When inside your heart
   There isn't a fire?

Just so you know,
   I won't be so bold,
To make unhappy
   A heart no love holds.
So when you find
   The love of your life,
I'll wish him the best,
   To see glad -- his Wife.

My Desire

Though you were across an ocean,
   Though you lived in a foreign land,
To get to the one who loved me,
   I'd traverse ev'ry desert sand.

If I knew you loved me truly,
   I would gladly give up my life,
If I could have one more short year,
   Serving God, with you as my wife.

Much more I'd prefer a lifetime,
   With you walking close by my side;
Happily doing His service,
   And right in His will we'd abide.

From Me, For You

Beside you I want to live;
  Freely to you my heart give;
Sing for you on bended knee;
  In your name write poetry;
Every way fulfill your dreams;
  Enjoy helping you to clean;

Beside you ever I'll stand,
  In bad times holding your hand,
Give up for you every vice;
  For your dreams I'll sacrifice;
Children I would like to have,
  Striving to be the best Dad,

For wife I want no other,
  Knowing you are the Mother,
Many reasons as my wife,
  Mainly you'd complete my life,
Seeking Christ, our lives to fill,
  Ever living in God's will,

Every day your hand to hold;
  Hold you tight when things look cold;
Always gentle, always kind;
  Listen when you speak your mind;
A good husband to my bride,
  And for you always provide.

Or between danger and you;
  If too hard I'd carry you;
Ever praise you with my speech;
  Your potential help you reach.
And train them right, beside you;
  Even the diapers I will do.

Children's character to hone;
  Our "house" would become our "Home."
I want only you to be,
  And a better man I'd be.
And His name to speak, so bold;
  Gladly serving 'til we're old.

This short poem you read today,
  I hope does not offend you ,
Just one thing it's meant to say,
  And just to you:
    "I Love You."

Someday/Never

Someday if you love me
     I'll give you all your poems;
Someday if you love me
     My house will be our home;
Someday if you love me
     I'll kiss you every day;
Someday if you love me
     Beside you I will stay;
Someday if you love me
     My name could be yours too;
Someday if you love me
     I'll serve God beside you.

If you never love me
     You'll never read your poems;
If you never love me
     You'll never grace my home;
If you never love me
     You won't be my first kiss;
If you never love me
     You I will always miss;
If you never love me
     I don't know what I'll do,
Except try to serve God;
    So lonely without you.
