My Last Love

You are my everything
Every tear I cry is you
Every smile I smile is you
The stark loneliness I feel is you
The loss of connection with life is you.
But you have escaped the bonds of earth
And your spirit is free.
Memories wash over me like warm springs
Lightening the dirty coat of pain and loneliness
For you love abides strong within me
Reassuring me that I can be loved
Showing me that I have much to give.
Encourages me to reach out for another love.
But before I do, my first love,
Won't you fly with me once more
On the wings of once-shared love
So I may forever know the sealing rapture of your kiss.
