Sunsets Rhapsody

When I look into your lovely eyes, I think of peaceful sunsets
Golden skies, sailing boats those gentle things I can't forget
Why did time bring you to me so late in life, I can not truly say
Perhaps it is God's infinite plan, or I've done something good today

For whatever the reason, I thought you would want to know
That I am falling more in love, as each days sun begins to glow
There is a peacefulness about you, bringing happiness into my heart
I find myself smiling more, even though temporarily, we are far apart

I've searched my soul for answers, but none have come to me
Maybe, my love, there aren't any answers, for me to come to see
So I will spend these hours giving thanks for meeting you
As I cast my eyes out to the sunsets, that help me feel less blue

I will daydream of your hair and how it shimmers in the sunlight
Or magical moments by the sea, as the sun passes out of sight
Shall I read these words to you, as we rest sitting on the sandy beach
I will run my fingers through your hair, when you are within my reach

Shall we will listen to the seagulls at play, and speak of nothing more
Perhaps the surfs gentle lapping, as its greets those sandy shores
It really doesn't matter love, where we choose to spend our time
For I will know as I sit with you, this serenity, is yours and mine

Will you share these moments, drifting... in our exquisite rhapsody
May your heart drift with mine, to the beauty of this sunset on the sea
When you are alone tonight, may your thoughts return to these lines
They are written for you, as your heart, has tenderly... touched mine

To Touch Your Heart

Have I reached out and touched your heart today
Have I made a difference, in your life in some way
If not, then I haven't told you, of my love for you
I have not expressed somehow, my love in its gratitude

Shall I tell you how your presence, brightens a room
Or how your smile or wit, outlasts any perfume
Have you any idea how your beauty, surpasses a rose
How your touch to my skin, sends chills to my toes

Do you notice my spontaneous laughter, at some small quip
Or the smile that lingers, long after the soft touch, of your lips
Have you seen the twinkle brighten, when you look into my eyes
How they fill with love, like the bright stars, fill the heavenly skies

My love, if you only knew, how tender my thoughts are of you
How they return daily, as the sun fills the skies powder blue
I wonder in awe to the depth of our love, growing each day
My hope is renewed, where my foolish thoughts once played

Can you sense my understanding, at something you've quietly said
Or the times I've touched my shoulder, where you'd laid your head
The aroma of you, how it lingers, long after we've said goodnight
That its still fresh to my senses, at each mornings first light

You see my darling how you fill my mind...

Shall We Dance

Let's play some soft music and gather in the middle of the floor
Come into my arms, feel the music, how could we ask for more
Let me look into your eyes, as we feel the beat of the song
I can feel your heart next to mine, right where it belongs

It seems when you are in my arms, ecstasy fills my heart
My feet beat out the rhythms of love, when the music starts
You feel so perfect, snuggled there, with in the circle of my arms
Resting your head on my shoulder, you slay me with your charms

Our bodies blending together to the music, lost in one another
So beautiful the love song capturing us, we are its ardent lovers
Your fingers softly caress my neck, having its usual effect on me
We are meant for each other, that is very plain to see

Pulling you closer, I whisper "I love you" in your ear
You lightly kiss my cheek, as I feel your soft breath so near
Our hips press tighter together, swaying gently to the sounds
The rapture of holding you like this, I'm fortunate to have found

It"s true what people say, "that dreams really can come true"
For all the beautiful sounds of life, I have found in you
You are all the music that we dance and listen to
A bouquet, whose petals hold moisture from the dew
