Love

There is something I want you to know before my life is through
that no matter what you did I know that I still love you

I know I screwed things up when my heart began to send
and know I'm something new to you and no longer just a friend

At first I thought it was just a crush and it would come and go
but a few months later, still I really did not know

whether it was just a crush or if it was the real thing
would I wake up tomorrow thinking of you and would my heart ring

now after I new that all these feelings for you were real
that it wasn't just a crush it was the real deal

and when I finally got the guts to tell you how I felt
you just chewed me up and spit me back out

It hurts too much to talk about so I won't say a word
I'll just tell you what's important in case you haven't heard

I still want to be more to you either now or in the end
I want to be the one you will love not only just your friend
