Hunger
The need for the touch.
The desire to feel, the breath against the skin.
The lovers, fashioned words
Describing passion
That was just out of reach.
So close that they can sense it
Yet so far, that they could not feel.
It created a hunger within
Two starving souls needing to be feed.
Their body & souls
Crying out for sustenance.
Nowhere to be found
In their distant lands.
Dreams of an orchard
Abundant with fruit
Driving them on a journey.
Both dreaming of a calm and peaceful place.
Where lovers first meet
To satisfy their needs.
A desire for fullness
Overcoming the distance
Of the journey that they must make.
Their union like the season's equinox.
A coming together of equal halves.
The yin and the yang.
Simple needs yet to be fulfilled
Their desires to be satisfied, not yet achieved.
Already creating the desire
For a more bountiful crop.
Both knowing
That what is not harvested
Must wait for another journey.
Both knowing that will not be long away
For the hunger will soon return.
Long dark lonely nights
Long dark lonely nights.
Eyes closed and body curled,
From every pour the tears were flowing.
How often this was how the day unfurled.
Memories lost, heartache growing,
In the long, dark, lonely nights.
Then one day life was framed,
By the brilliance of the dawn.
Through the glass, colour stained,
The sunshine came flooding back
Upon the alabaster form.
The pages turning, the play entering another act.
Romance was ready to be born,
In the nascent of the new day.
Body's essence transformed with ever ray,
The metamorphosis culminated.
A creature no longer lost and forlorn
Reaching out ready to be loved.
For now she walks as beauty in the night.
A journey no longer searching, for pleasures to share.
Having found the love that has made her complete.
Her smile, her eyes, her lips hallowed by colors fair.
Content to lie, cradled and dreaming in heavenly sleep.
No longer lost in the long, dark, lonely night.
Message from an Angel
In the quiet of dawn's first rays
She lays, her heart content
Her soul traveling upon the waves
Carried across the oceans
To a distant continent.
Wrapped in the warmth of the sun
Her body waking
Seeking out his touch.
To feel his fingers caressing
Such bliss, she desires so much.
Laying here she can feel his love
And hear it when the birds are singing
And feel it when he makes her laugh
She sees it in all the colors of the day
It surrounds her in every way.
He calls her an angel, that must be so
For she is floating on air.
Gone is the heart ache and the despair.
He has caught himself an angel
She wants him to never let her go.
Today and forever
My heart beats only for you.
Such a passionate rhythm.
The resonance echoing anew.
Like notes carried on a breeze.
I am consumed but at ease.
The melody of our love
Harmonized in its concord.
Like the flight of a dove
Soaring high in the clouds.
Our love such ambience assured.
My desire found me a companion.
Your love so much in accord.
So much more than I can afford.
But given freely with passion.
I am wrapped in your embrace.
For today and forever
In your arms I will stay.
Even when we are apart
It will always be that way.
For I love you, today and forever.
Waiting and Watching
The rush of the crowd hurries by
That moment that you waited for draws nigh.
But blind to the vision you have chosen to be
You would rather touch and therefore see.
I will stand there and let your fingers
Find the vision I am sure that lingers.
Feel the image that you have in your mind
For I am sure it is what you will find.
A smile, beaming out for you
Showing the feelings I have are so true.
My eyes and my lips greeting the man
Who has dreamt up this plan.
For no matter how the image appears
That first instant shall allay all your fears.
For the love that I have for you
No matter how is comes it is true.
I long for your embrace
In your arms I will find the peace that I lost.
Such heartache I have born, an immeasurable cost.
But fate played a hand and would intervene
And create happiness once more upon this scene.
Your smile carried across the ocean
Flowing towards me in perpetual motion.
Your words and phrases ring out with glee.
You made me remember who I was, I am me.
The woman whom I thought had vanished.
Was stirred from slumber whence I was banished.
For in your embrace
A smile has returned to my face.
My love for you knows no bounds
And is carried on the breeze in melodious sounds.
Our song ringing out
I know I will want to shout:
My darling I love you so
Upon waking
As the early morning light does shine
Upon your body lying next to mine.
How often I have dreamed this dream.
For often I have seen this scene.
And now it has come true.
My love for you
So tenderly expressed.
Against my form your body softly pressed.
In passion our love did find release.
And in each others arms we did find peace.
Content to lie in soft embrace
My fingers softly pressed against your face.
And as you stir from slumbers hold.
Once again our love does unfold.
Oh my love this is what I have waited for
I want you now and forever more.
The journey
This journey newly planned.
Born of passion and longing.
Is beckoning her to a different land.
Anticipation fills the air.
A few more days of longing to bear.
As the journey finally draws nigh.
The bags are packed and waiting.
And her thoughts turn to journey's end.
Such visions of joy creating.
The excitement finally making her confused.
In actions now she will be able to show
How much she do love him so.
To touch, hold, taste, oh! the aroma, such messages they send.
Finally all the senses satisfied.
My darling, this is journeys end.
Silence
Do not speak when first we meet
Let no words utter
For other senses need to greet
And they will answer better
At first we see
The vision that only pictures could show
In an instant our anticipation is set free
Our eyes become accustomed to the glow
Then the yearning from our souls
Can no longer suspend
As we imbibe the aromas
The fragrance of our bodies blend
And next we touch
First fingers and then hands
As we have longed to do so much
Our lips do meet, soft kiss commands
To taste each other, oh such bliss
All other senses smother
We are finally lost in our first kiss
No need for words to utter!
Arrival
The past remains at departure for it has been let go.
In the antecedent advent of the new millennium
The time for a new beginning does approach.
The changes that are coming, are carried in the flow.
This time marking a personal achievement.
Prior goals set, never anticipating accomplishment.
But the end is in sight. Now, a new beginning to attain.
So with the birth of the new, the old no longer can sustain.
Like the buds on the branches awaiting fruition.
This time, like Spring representing fulfillment.
With the warmth of the sun comes the realization .
Of a love blossoming forth in satisfaction.
Triumph and victory now just within reach.
Success ripening like the peach.
Sweet, aromatic and unique!
Hearts on Fire
In dreams I find you standing there
I feel the spark of our first embrace
Such ecstasy makes our souls ignite
In total commitment I give myself
Your arms cradling my body
While your soul and mine are consumed,
By passions flame
A time to feel to touch draws nigh
Together bond one to the other
Even in silence our love doth roar
Like waves crashing on a rocky shore
Such obsession escaping in a single sigh
