I Remember
Music from another room,
drifts in and lingers,
stirring embers of another time,
another place, and
I remember.
Laughter from another room,
the sound alone not new,
but so true that I can almost see
a smiling face, and
I remember.
Movement from another room,
clinking glass, silent wish,
a gentle kiss unseen but so clear
that I can taste, and
I remember.
Voices from another room,
faithful vows exchanged,
outside, rain begins to softly fall,
a gentle pace, and
I remember.
