First Kiss

He stood there kinda nervous,
about to say "goodnight,"
When somethin' just possessed him. . .
It had to be tonight!

He fumbled to embrace her,
then held her very oh so tight,
'Cause somethin' just possessed him. . .
It had to be tonight!

He drew her face up close to his.
She was a pretty sight,
And somethin' just possessed him. . .
It had to be tonight!

How tenderly he kissed her,
and everything went right,
'Cause somethin' just possessed them. . .
It had to be tonight!

Sir Knight's Enduring Love

Dearest Lady, here I stand,
reaching out to take your hand,
wishing only for your smile.
Dearest Lady,abide awhile
'Tis not so often knights as I
see flawless beauty grace our eye.
So do not hurry on your way,
but please sweet Lady,I bid you stay.
'Twas Fate I know, that brought me here
and Fate shall draw us ever near.
From this brief, foreboding meeting
I pray our love shall nay be fleeting.
I would cage you as a dove,
and keep you for myself to love.
But one does not pen a spirit free
So I beg, sweet Lady, abide with me.
My lips were parched, yours were balm:
My voice was mute, Yours my psalm.
To unhearing ears ,you brought a song:
to unseeing eyes, a vision strong.
So kiss me princess, with your salve,
and sing your psalm on my behalf.
Bring music to these ears once more,
and reveal to me, your beauty's lure.
This Knight is prisoner to your desire,
for you ignite an undying fire.
I am your liege man ever more,
standing here outside your door.
And when the evening darkness falls,
You'll hear this Knight's lovesick calls.
And so sweet Lady, come to me,
that or love might know eternity!

Lady Judith's response

My dearest Knight, no need to stand
outside my door, please take my hand.
Enter with me, to my abode,
time is nigh, for devotion you've showed.
I stand before you, blushing face,
my shoulders bare, bodice with lace.
Oh dear Knight, I bequeath to you,
my bosoms firm, with pinkish hue.
Be gentle my Knight, yet be strong,
my desires are endless, the night so long.
Show me your passion, come, abide with me
there's an aura of love, for us to see.
I beckon you to bended knees!
I'll lie here, for my Knight to please.
My salve I give you, an ointment so pure,
I'm certain my Knight, that this is the cure.
I give you my all, my passions, my fruit
Play me all evening, as the angel's flute.
No longer a prisoner, of my desire,
your loins are aching, for the lady's fire!
I give you my treasure, you've so waited for.
Please take me my Knight, to Love's open door.

I Make Thee Knight

God of all things,
giveth this night a swallow's wings
that it might swiftly pass to dawn
and knighthood soon produce its spawn.

'Tis truth, here kneels God's humble child,
unworthy, troubled and beguiled,
yet shriven of my sinful chain,
with bishop's blessing free of stain.

Time now to don this snow-white gown,
and from my neck, this sword hang down,
'til it be hallowed by priest and king,
a blade of righteous death I bring.

One by one, they stand before me,
each with gifts which by decree
shall mark this lowly man as knight,
preamble to the sacred rite.

Spurs, hauberk, gauntlet, mail. . .
with mighty armor I shall prevail.
Save one benefaction doth remain,
the cherished favor of the fair Elaine.

With purest smile and gentlest hand
she doth present me with this band,
a silver ring with eagle's head,
twin to that 'cross my shield spread.

Still smiling, she doth move away,
that my lord and king might stand and say:
"In the name of God, I make thee knight.
Be valiant, courteous, loyal and right."

Head bowed, I feel the touch of sword,
the prize is mine, my life's reward.
I stand and raise my weapon high:
"For God and King, to live, to die!"
