If I were a rose....

If I were a rose I would have the sweetest scent and softest petals
If I were a rose I'd be the perfect shade in your favorite color
If I were a rose I'd have no thorns I would not hurt the one I love
If I were a rose I'd shed each petal slowly so that I'd linger in your hand
and
with each petal shed I'd sigh with relief of knowing of all the gardens in
the world I blossomed for you, I love You
