You are my smiling lad,
Crazed grin like ecstasy.
Whitened teeth for pearly kissing-
You re just like your dad.
Just like your dad, my smiling lad,
And his before him-
There s something about you,
Dizzy drunk like your dad.
You know, my one, I'm rather glad
You ve come back,
Door banging and ranting,
I wish I had
Your charming teeth to wear, your mad,
Filthy tongue clobbering despair
Till its broken marble head bled,
Dying like your dad.
My darling crying lad,
What was it in your brain,
Behind all that cocaine
That made you come back?
My handsome, smiling lad,
Beautiful when naked, and in smudged polaroid
(Black and white)
With nervous me and your dad.
Come into my arms, dry your sad,
Gentleman s eyes they splutter
Like drowning nightingales,
Singing softly for your dad.
