Love Lost

When we fell in love
Everything was fine.
I loved for us to be together
I was yours and you mine.

We shared many hugs and kisses
We talked into the night.
And when we had our problems,
You made everything alright.

But somewhere along the way
Pleasure turned to pain.
All my sunny days disappeared,
And I was left with vain.

You always said you loved me.
You always said you cared.
But somewhere in the midst of things,
You threw away the love we shared.

I really tried to make it work,
I really wanted to stay.
But eventually our love would have ended,
Because you never loved me any way.
