Linger
How set my
heart
To canter
So,
Your touch,
Your
smile,
Resplendent tone.
When arms of yours
My waist
entwine,
Unravel world;
Your fate not mine.
When down beside
me
Slept your love,
I dreamt I dwelt
With Gods above.
How
linger you,
My mind at night,
When many miles
Your're not in sight.
Till I Fall From Day
I fall from day
Into ripened night;
To languish in reams of dream.
Where recollections buffet our flights
In valleys aired with memory.
Stirred the dawn.
And our lucid realm
Expires in episodes of wake.
We fall, disentangling in replication.
Our high wing, melting,
In sol’s cruel wind.
As dark imagined spires
Of doubt and disarray,
Tarnished the blue your wanton sky,
I watched you plunge;
On paper-thin frailties,
To fear-fed chapters of toil.
And Gathered you each time
The shrapnel of your heart,
To carriage of deceptive finery.
Then, to citadel in carousel
On summit scratching heaven.
Angels flung you back to me
And jeered attempted height of Kings.
Horror lurked in pools to drown your downed,
But I among with arms agape
In readiness to catch.
Alas too far,
Your plummet that May day.
Too hard your plunge to sane.
Too small my hands
That tears found no cradle.
Too great a weight your fragile soul.
Clock-strikes press me heavy now,
The portal to yesterdays halls.
There you wait in gowns of ghostly,
Wait you there
Till I fall from day.
