Wishing I Was There
It's obvious,
I've tried,
And tried again,
Just to hate you,
But you know that I can't.
You know that is true.
Your wonderful hair,
Your soul-searching eyes;
Of that hazely color,
That I just can't
Get enough of.
It's stuck in my brain.
This hold that you have,
On my poor shattered heart,
Tears me to pieces
Each time that I
Start to forget
Why I want to leave at all.
I keep
Wishing I was there
With you.
Even though I know it's wrong
I can't give up.
I just give in
To this feeling
of not letting go.
As much as I try
The lists I make
Of all your faults;
Just can't compare
To the overall power
Of being with you.
All of my attempts
End in vain.
I'm stuck in this void,
Temporarily, I hope.
This void I fell into
The second I knew.
That I wasn't wanted
Right there with you.
