Decide, deciding, decided
Undecided
Your mind is like the jigsaw puzzle
Always missing a piece
I can't figure it out
I get the frame, but
The middle perplexes me
Frustrates me
I look everywhere for the missing part
Only to recognize that I will not find the piece gone astray
Only you can
When you realize where the missing piece is
I hope it fits beautifully and wholly
I know in time you will find the piece
Your pursuit has to go on
For we both must find our own enigma
No matter the picture that piece may reveal
But for now and until your search is over
If these vacillations are what I must endure
To hold you and never let go
I would go one hundred years more
For your touch, your gaze
Your heart, your love
I know sometimes you can't have
What you want, when you want it
Until the day we both find our pieces
And realize how our hearts palpitate
Whether finally to the same rhythm
Or the pulse of two different drummers
I will wait through hesitancies, mistakes and inhibitions
So I can enjoy each and every moment with you
Through it all, it is still impossible
For me not to love you
Waiting Through It All
