Kedy

this morning I lay in your bed
beside you
naked and besotted
some part of my body
touching
some part of yours
and i watched you sleep
experienced your existance
your pulse beating
with fascinating monotony
in the soft hollow of your throat
that place i would kiss forever
you chest rising and falling
almost imperceptibly
with the ebb and flow of your breath
as crucial to me
as to you
and i wished i could place my mouth
over yours
without waking you
so you could breathe yourself into me
and live there forever
and i knew without doubt
that i loved you
and i felt without wonder
that i had since time began
and i thought without fear
that i always would
but i didn't know how to tell you
