Desperate hearts

I know your heart is in despair and you wonder if you can know true love again
All you've known has been turned upside down and your head and soul need time to mend
He did you wrong and you spent so long tossing pieces of your heart away
But you were the best thing to ever grace his life and he will know it well one day
Until then i will be your friend and help keep your head held high
Give you new memories to replace these and make you feel once again you can fly
So trust in me all your shattered dreams i promise to never let them down
And soon you will see there will never be a love greater then what you've found
For the stars would dare not sparkle if you closed your eyes and your smile turns all darkness to light
I would give up the world if i had it to give to hold you forever or just one night
So tonight i get on my knees and pray my love can set your heart free
because i know how special you are i ask god to send you to me
So i want you to know if ever you feel really low and your life gets to much to take
I will love you with every beat of my heart and savor each sweet breath you make
