Escaping the confusion of my life,
leaving babylon behind.
Touched by tender remembrances of you
Our love is captured within each tear that fall
down my cheeks leaving saline traces behind
Easing back into the city of confused voices
searching for another who can understand me
Blindly without fear
i try to see ...to love again
Muted feelings are folded up like
neat little hankies tucked away back
in a dresser drawer
vague hints of your perfume send me back to babylon

beyond

beyond the whispering trees
where the laughing rain falls
stand a small sod cottage, curled beside the hearth lays an old dog dreaming of the day's chase
beside a little window, beneath its sill
there sits a comfortable chair on a table next to the chair stands a picture of you
captured in time, your smile still brighten up the room
beside the cottage works an old man tending his garden
happily he toil the good earth
making sure he keep this special place well watered and clear of weeds
singing to himself as thoughts of the years that have past
fill his heart with the joy that he and his wife shared there beside each other
together they would spend their days cultivating each others love
as they toiled to provide the food that they would need to live out
the winter
this man recalls each joyful sunny day they had spend there in their garden
it has been some time now that she can no longer toil beside him
the years and illness has taken her away
but with his memories she lives on in the fruit of his toil her smile still
fills this little cottage and the old man's heart

for benda jo

if my words could paint a picture and
my mind fill it with colors
with all the shades of life to blend i could
not capture the emotions i have for you
the bright hues i see in your eyes are
from GOD'S finger prints
deep within your soul I'D find layer
upon layer of soft pastel textures
if my words could paint a picture
your smile would by my palette
like a rainbow upon my brush i would
mingle each hope and dream you
made come true
in your heart i would find my unknown
 master piece
so stretch yourself upon my canvas
and let me frame your beauty
      caught
 Captured by your love
caught in your head lights
unsure ... insecure ... felt unheard
Shouted down ! ... i mute my thoughts
twisted and turn out
All alone within my self .... i muffle my screams
Simple words are an injustice
to the feelings that flow over me

     It just my imagination
an imaginary lover calls my name out,
ever so softly
My dreams are colored by the hope of
knowing and to be known,  seeing and to be seen
It as if my soul is transparent my lover can peer
into my forgotten unknown heart
As fragile as fine china and
yet i'm hardened by the furnace of life
the steel fiber of my being has weathered
all of nature furies
i've endured the heinous bright rays of summer
i've felt the shiver of winter's bitter winds
i've rejoiced with spring gentle rains
i've languish as fall has cast it's shadow upon
me
I await that soft and gentile voice
I yearn to hear it beckon

love

Love is a struggle always
love is a gift ,to be shared with others
 love has no ending
It can be lost,.... it can be found
 it can endure hardships
it can bind,... it can also be blind
 it can survive and flourish
love is worthless unless it's ,........given freely
love is an intangible blessing when shared
It's value can not be counted,....it's worth is unmeasurable
Power and money can't buy it
position and stature can not hold it
Love is priceless to those who share....it
love is a hardship to those who have lost it
Love when found can create joy,...hope,..
and purposes

no heart
no voice ...no heart...no love
no how ....no way
reach out .... reach in ....search on
as the horizon unfolds,
No love...no heart ,no...voice
the emptiness expands
No how,,no way
so search on
