A Very Little Bit

I have seen many things
And have been many places
Lived like the richest kings
And have lost many faces.

Today I am new, new again
Old in body, but free of mind
Tasting life again as bubbling champagne
New life and love ever so entwined

My love, love me a little, please say it!
From you, my darling I need not much
Just a tiny, a very little bit
A word here and there, a tender touch

I do so greatly love you
If you spoke no words to me
Still I would believe in us as two
And seek no further guarantee

I will love you near, very near
I will love you far, far away
I will love you without a tear
And love you more today than yesterday.
