I Wish

I wish I missed another kiss,
had made another heart my every wish.
Let someone else possess my soul,
found someone else to make me whole.

For if I had maybe now would not be,
my tears not here for all the world to see.
Maybe I'd still have them by my side,
but the truth I can no longer hide.

Truth is, I love you, more then life itself,
I'd give you anything, I'd give myself.
Nobody else will ever have my heart,
I placed it in your hands right from the start.

It hurts me to admit what I will,
I've lost you, but I love you still.
I'll leave you be just as you wish,
say goodbye, give one last kiss.

Then walk away despite my pain,
rely on strength I've yet to gain.
Then live my life without you near,
always wishing you were still here.
